Virtual Workshop - Help! Managing Your Money on Campus – Borrowing for Books

10.27.20

The Canadian Foundation for Economic Education (CFEE) has partnered with Enactus to offer a series of virtual workshops, designed to help improve the financial education and capability of University and College students. The goal of this workshop is to help you understand the various sources of money available to pay for your post-secondary education. From scholarships, grants and bursaries to loans and earned income, there are many ways to raise funds to pay for this investment in your future. However, you have to be careful; it’s easy to fall into the debt trap. This module will help you understand the consequences of having excess debt and the implications of a bad credit rating. You will walk away with a better understanding of how to manage the cost of an education – giving you the confidence to pursue your goals.

This workshop will be presented by best-selling author and personal finance educator Kelley Keehn. Kelley regularly appears on TV and radio, and is the personal finance authority on CTV’s The Marilyn Denis Show.
