Project Overview

The Seniors’ Financial Coffee Clubs program brings seniors together for informal, facilitated discussions on personal finance topics.

Coffee Clubs pair community connection with practical financial learning through a five-session series held over five weeks.

Each Coffee Club brings together 10–15 participants for one-hour weekly sessions led by a trained community facilitator. Sessions cover financial wellness and the relationship between money and mental health; goal setting; budgeting and financial confidence; legal and estate planning; and next steps, fraud awareness, and ongoing resources. Facilitators guide discussion using CFEE-prepared materials and do not provide individualized financial advice.

The program is designed to reduce the stigma around talking about money, help participants build confidence in their financial decisions, and foster meaningful community connections among older adults.
