Money Matters – Help Your Students Acquire Knowledge and Apply Financial Skills - Build Your Own Customized Toolkit of Resources!

03.02.21

Financial literacy is key to making successful transitions to both life and work. As part of both the math and career education curriculum, educators of grades 5-10 (and beyond) will explore a host of easy to use, engaging FREE resources and learn how to use these tools to assist students to make informed decisions about money matters. Attendees will explore a host of financial challenges that occur as young people experience life events, including making decisions in a post-pandemic world. Participants will receive a toolkit of resources to assist in students in their journey.

The Canadian Foundation for Economic Education (CFEE) will provide an overview of online resources and a virtual toolkit that educators can use to help build financial literacy capabilities for their kids.

The workshop will also introduce two CFEE initiatives – Talk With Our Kids About Money and My Money My Future – which encourage youth to take control of their financial literacy learning.
