The “Help! Managing Your Money on Campus” program offered by the Canadian Foundation for Economic Education (CFEE) is designed to help improve the financial education and capability of University and College students. In short, we want to help you become smarter about money matters so you can make better decisions around things like spending, saving, budgeting, student loans and debt, credit cards and bank accounts, investing and more. Over the next few weeks, CFEE will be offering five FREE “Help! Managing My Money On Campus” virtual workshops – each consisting of a different topic related to money!
The goal of this workshop (Living a Financially Healthy Life) is to help you develop a healthy attitude towards money. You will learn how to take control of your money by setting goals and budgeting and saving to meet those goals. You will understand the importance of having a plan. You will learn about a simple budgeting process and how to distinguish between needs and wants. This module will help you develop a road map for a healthy financial future by making saving a positive part of your budget.
