The Canadian Foundation for Economic Education (CFEE) in partnership with Manitoba Education will present virtual workshops for youth focusing on:

  • goals and decision making
  • planning for the future
  • saving (including how to pay for post-secondary education)
  • spending choices and the use of credit
  • budgeting to reach a goal
  • careers including apprenticeship and entrepreneurship options.

These interactive workshops will provide foundational information for all high schools students and serve to reinforce and extend learning in a wide range of Manitoba’s credit courses including Social Studies, Human Ecology, and Applied Commerce Education (ACE). Workshops will include instructions on how to access and use CFEE’s other resources. There will be time devoted to the realities of the post COVID19 world, and a question and answer session following each workshop.

This presentation will be offered in a two-part series – Part A and Part B each offered in a 45-minute session (with a 30-minute presentation and a 15-minute Q and A period). The sessions will be repeated twice in the Spring and twice in the Fall in English. French sessions will be offered once in the Spring and once in the Fall; all sessions will be hosted on the Zoom videoconferencing platform.

*** Note: Students are asked to complete the registration information using their school assigned email address.
