The Canadian Foundation for Economic Education is holding a virtual workshop designed to provide youth with a unique experience exploring concepts outlined in our Money and Youth resource. The workshop is being offered in English and French in partnership with IG Wealth Management and is based on research completed by CFEE around key life planning and money management challenges faced by Canadian youth as they plan for a life after high school. Content for the workshop deals with the relevant issues and life events faced by attendees that register. The interactive, FREE virtual workshops follow lessons learned in similar workshops offered coast-to-coast in-person prior to the Pandemic, and virtually since March of 2020.
Join attendees from across Canada for this live virtual event.
The workshop will focus on goals and decision making, planning for the future, banking, saving and the use of credit, budgeting to reach a goal, careers including entrepreneurship and the decision making around obtaining and paying for post-secondary education. There will be time devoted to the realities of the post COVID19 world, and a question and answer session following the workshop.
It will include instructions on how to access and use CFEE resources easily and effectively as high school graduates deal with life in a post Pandemic world. Learn tips to help you manage the impact of social isolation and learning at home, and the steps needed to prepare for post-secondary school where the realities of learning may be different from what has been experienced by previous generations.
This workshop will be presented by Kevin Maynard, VP of the Canadian Foundation for Economic Education, and hosted on the Zoom videoconferencing platform.
